Last week’s cold spell may not have been good weather for picnics, but it was perfect weather for capturing carbon dioxide! Professor Klaus Lackner and Allen Wright took advantage of the ideal conditions by making a short video which demonstrates the carbon capture technology they’ve developed: a material that pulls carbon dioxide right out of the air when it’s dry and then releases the CO2 when it’s wet. The video and a short news story about it can be found on Columbia University’s news website.
